A warm welcome to this new website which has a number of innovative features which are designed to further the important role that Farmers Markets and the small scale local producers that attend them have in re-establishing local food networks.
The site is dynamic in several ways being constructed from a continually updated data base which allows a high degree of interaction by users and a much enhanced communication infrastructure.

The site is still in its early stages of development having recently completed initial trials at Usk, see Usk Farmers' Market, but already the potential benefits, that such a system will have, are clear to see. We are currently spreading the net beyond Usk and inviting producers from other regions to register their details with the site.
We have ambitious plans for the future: to allow producers and market managers to take control and directly edit their own sections of the site and for customers to order products prior to the markets.
For those of you who prefer to, or need to use telephones, our system has an integrated telephone information line that is directly linked to the database. This ensures that up to date access is available from locations where Internet facilities are not available or would be impractical to use.
As we develop the system you will find interesting additions such as recipes where the system will locate your nearest producer for the ingredients, along with calendars of events and a small classified ads section.
